For the upcoming season, HC Ajoie will still be able to count on Frédérik Gauthier. The big forward arrived in Porrentruy last summer from the Utica Comets (AHL). His new contract contains an option for an additional season.
HC Ajoie's team manager Julien Vauclair considers Gauthier a key element of the roster: "With his experience, his quality of work and his calmness, we have secured the services of a reliable and talented foreigner that progressed with each game last season."
In his first year in Switzerland, Gauthier scored nine goals and collected 14 assists in 52 regular season games. In the post-season, he added four points in six games.
