As Watson already reported in March, the Swedish forward will join the Swiss team for the coming two seasons.

Andreas Wingerli has been with Skellefteå AIK for most of his career. He joined them as a junior and with the exception of one season in the AHL (2021-22), he has only played for the Swedish organization. EV Zug will thus be just the third employer for the 25-year-old.

"Andreas is a fast, agile, and intelligent player who creates more options for our offensive game", team manager Reto Kläy mentions. "His plus-minus record clearly shows that he is also extremely reliable and takes responsibility on the defensive end. I am very happy that he will play for EVZ for the next two years."

This season, Wingerli mostly played on Skellefteå's third line, recording 15 goals and 20 assists in 69 games. After finishing second in the regular season, they went all the way to the final, where they lost to the Växjo Lakers.
