So far, no contract talks between Schneeberger and the club have been scheduled. "We will only decide after the season," Biel's team manager Martin Steinegger confirms to the Bieler Tagblatt. The same holds for Canadian forward Riley Sheahan.
For both, however, Biel's success this season might determine their near future. Due to the qualification for the Champions Hockey League, Steinegger wants to have depth on his roster to tackle the challenges ahead.
This could also mean to start the new season with seven import-players. For that, Riley Sheahan remains an important candidate: "He meets our expectations in the profile we're looking for," Steinegger says, and also praises the Canadian's work ethic.
