For the upcoming season, the SCL Tigers have decided to bolster their defense with Juuso Riikola. With the 29-year-old, four Finns are now under contract with the Tigers for next season: the remaining two import positions will be filled in the next months with two forwards.

In his career, Riikola has gathered playing experience in the Liiga (KalPa), NHL (Pittsburgh Penguins), AHL (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins), and lastly in the SHL with IK Oskarshamn. This season, Riikola collected 19 points (two goals) in 44 games in Sweden.

Moreover, forward Nolan Diem and defender Samuel Erni have also signed one-year deals. For Diem, it will be the sixth season in the Emmental, while Erni will begin his seventh championship with the Tigers.
