HC Fribourg-Gottéron believes that Mario Antonelli's know-how and extensive experience should contribute to promoting projects of training and development within the club and throughout the Canton of Fribourg. The 56-year-old has been active in the youth sectors of the ZSC Lions, the GCK Lions, Lausanne HC, EHC Kloten, and within the SIHF before joining EHC Winterthur in 2021.
Additionally, Jeff Campbell has been hired as head coach of the U20 squad. The former coach of SC Langenthal will start his new adventure in May. Finally, Sandy Jeannin will manage the U17 squad of HCFG, which he has already managed ad-interim during the current season. Jeannin will thus give up his administrative activities as head of the youth sector to Mario Antonelli.
