The Swede speculates that they might want to make Swiss players and hockey look better.

Carl Klingberg recently got a fine for diving. EV Zug's appeal regarding the case was rejected. While representing his country's colors during the international break, the Swede was asked about the incident by HockeyNews.se.

Still in disagreement with the fine - he even sent in video material of his teeth being loose to prove he was not embellishing anything -, Klingberg accused the league of disproportionately targeting imports in diving cases. As he states, about 80% of the fines for said matter would be against imports.

NL Ice Data's disciplinary wing did some research, and while Klingberg's number is an exaggeration, there seems to be at least some merit to what he brought up, even when factoring in ice time.

Other than that, Klingberg talked about his future. With his contract running out, the Swede is not yet sure where his path will take him. Zug does not yet know what they want to do. A return homeward is an option, but he would not mind staying in Switzerland.
