"This has been handled in a professional and neat way by Andreas. We would have liked to have him stay, but now that this is out, we felt it was just as well to get it out of the way so that we can focus on the rest of the season," team manager Fredrik Sjöström states.
According to Expressen, he will play in Switzerland in the 2023-24 season. Several teams, among them SC Bern, seem to be interested in Andreas Borgmann, but, according to Aftonbladet, HC Fribourg-Gottéron is the "hottest candidate."
Borgman has appeared in 13 games for Frölunda this season, recording two goals and seven assists.
