According to the Tages-Anzeiger, there are rumblings that Simon Bodenmann has caught the eye of HC Ambrì-Piotta. Whether that will be a road the forward wants to walk down remains to be seen.
The newspaper also spoke with EHC Kloten and EV Zug: for both teams, Bodenmann is not an option. The forward, himself, would like to continue to play but "if no suitable solution arises, I will accept that and take on a new challenge in the private sector."
Bodenmann has appeared in 40 games for the ZSC Lions, recording ten goals and 20 assists. The Lions announced in December that they would not extend the contract of the forward as they were looking to rejuvenate the team.
