As Peltonen's agent Juho Sintonen tells Ilta Sanomat, his client has a valid contract with HIFK and has not been in contact with HC Davos. The same newspaper also reports that Tommi Niemelä has also not handed in his application for the position.
Niemelä himself told the Finnish newspaper Etelä-Suomen Sanomissa later that day that he has not been in contact with HC Davos and has one and a half years left on his contract with Lahti and he has not been thinking about anything else.
