With Connor Hughes departing for Lausanne HC coming summer, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has secured the services of Bryan Rüegger. The current netminder of HC Thurgau signed a one-year deal with them.

Rüegger, 22, is in his third season with Thurgau. This season so far, he has started 25 games, posting a .902 save percentage and allowing an average of 2.92 goals per game.

As Reto Berra is still sidelined and Jeffrey Meier has returned to the ZSC Lions due to Šimon Hrubec's injury, Fribourg has recalled Loïc Galley from EHC Winterthur for the next to games, La Liberté writes. According to team manager Christian Dubé, they would like to add a goaltender from the Swiss League.
