Despite interest from EV Zug to keep Yannick Zehnder around, it seems that the youngster has decided to not extend his expiring contract with the Bulls and transfer to another team. In Switzerland, Zehnder has only ever played in Zug's organization and has been a part of the main squad's roster since 2017.
In 27 National League games so far this season, Zehnder scored three goals and collected three assists, to which he adds five points in ten games of the Champions Hockey League. Two years ago, he had his breakthrough season, scoring 19 goals and recording 19 assists in 59 games.
