In their press release, HC Ajoie cite "insufficient results" as the reason to sack Filip Pešán in mid-season. "It was difficult for us to take such a decision," team manager Julien Vauclair says. "But the sporting situation of the team and the performances of the last few weeks have been decisive."
For the remainder of the season, the team will be coached by Julien Vauclair as head coach and Ivano Zanatta and Petteri Nummelin as his assistants.
