The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers were looking for some reinforcement due to their injury situation. They now added Pontus Åberg who started the season with BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Extraliga. He will join the Lakers next week.
Åberg was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2012 and played in North America from 2014 to 2020. Last season, he started playing in the AHL but then finished the year in the SHL with Timrå IK. In 26 games for BK Mladá Boleslav, he recorded three goals and ten assists.
