The netminder is a candidate to share the workload with Luca Boltshauser next season.

Unless he receives an extension from HC Fribourg-Gottéron, Connor Hughes will be a free agent at the end of this season. With promising play in the absence of Reto Berra, the netminder has gathered interest elsewhere. "Connor Hughes is on our list", SCL Tigers-team manager Pascal Müller tells Watson's Klaus Zaugg.

The 26-year-old would complement Luca Boltshauser to form Langnau's netminder duo. Their current backup, Stéphane Charlin, is only with the Tigers on loan from Genève-Servette HC.

This season so far, Hughes has made 13 games for Fribourg, posting a .928 save percentage and allowing an average of 1.92 goals against per game.
