The Swede has to find himself a new job. After 20 games this season, SC Bern has decided to make a change behind the boards.

"We gave Johan Lundskog until the international break to develop the team," SCB's CEO Raeto Raffainer explains. "In the standings, we are ranked around sixth place. But we have always said that above all the process is crucial. In this regard, we had to realize that the development has been going in the wrong direction for a few weeks."

According to the Berner Zeitung, it is not yet clear who will follow Lundskog as SCB's head coach. While Lundskog's assistant coaches will be in charge in the coming days, team manager Andrew Ebbett is going to be looking for a new bench boss.

Johan Lundskog has been with SC Bern since the beginning of the 2021-22 season, when he joined them from HC Davos. In his final game with SCB tonight, Lundskog celebrated a 4-3 home victory against the ZSC Lions.
