The 34-year-old Swede has decided to hang up his skates, as he announces on his Twitter account.

For the most part of his career, Robin Figren played in the SHL, suiting up in over 500 games over the course of ten seasons. He also tried his luck in North America. Drafted by the New York Islanders, he played for their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, for two seasons.

After eight seasons in the SHL, the Swede decided to take on another adventure: he joined EHC Kloten. For the past three seasons, Figren has been a fixture in their lineup. In the 2021-22 season, he recorded 26 goals and 34 assists in 47 regular-season games. He also put up 21 points (seven goals) in 15 playoff games.
