Mark Barberio will not return to Lausanne HC this season. Already midway through the past championship, the 32-year-old was sent away on loan to Ak Bars Kazan in the KHL. Lausanne HC has now five imports under contract (one defenseman, Martin Gérnat, and four forwards) and, reportedly, two more on the way (forwards Michael Raffl and Daniel Audette).
Barberio thus leaves Lausanne after two seasons, in which he suited up 61 times for the Lions, collecting 26 points.
