According to Blick, HC Lugano has shown "the biggest interest" in the forward thus far. Back in April, Swedish sources had told Klaus Zaugg (Watson) that the ZSC Lions might become Markus Granlund's next employer.
Sven Leuenberger, team manager of the ZSC Lions, did, however, not want to comment on the situation at the time. Granlund was part of the Finnish team that won gold at this year's Olympics. He also recorded eight goals and 30 assists in 41 games for Ufa.
