"Alex Chiasson has no intention to sign in Switzerland. It is his first intention to resign with Vancouver if there is reciprocal interest...or failing that continue his career with another NHL team at the appropriate free agency period," Pat Morris, agent of Chiasson, tells Postmedia. "But he has made it clear that Vancouver would be his first choice."

Morris responded to a rumor mentioned by Omar Gargantini (RSI) that stated that the NHL forward might potentially become HC Lugano's next import player. The forward was signed to the Vancouver Canucks after a successful tryout at their training camp. This season, Chiasson, who was drafted by the Stars in 2009, recorded 13 goals and nine assists in 67 games.
