With Oliwer Kaski, HC Lugano has signed their fourth import-player for the upcoming season. "Oliwer is a young right defenseman gifted with a strong shot," team manager Hnat Domenichelli says. "We are happy to have him with us, and we believe that with his solidity, he will complete our defensive package for next season."

Last season, Kaski was the defender who scored the most goals during the regular season in the KHL. In 2021, when he won the Gagarin Cup with Omsk, he was also named to the league's All-Star team. In 2019, he won the World Championship title with Finland.

The Bianconeri now have four imports on their roster: Captain Mark Arcobello ((USA)), forwards Daniel Carr ((CAN)) and Troy Josephs ((CAN) as well as defender Oliwer Kaski ((FIN)).
