Most recently, the 47-year-old Canadian worked as a development and skills coach in the organization of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Now, he has found a new challenge in Davos and bring a North-American element to their coaching staff.
"We're glad that Glen completes our coaching staff with his hockey experience," team manager Jan Alston says. "Thanks to his expertise and experience at the highest level, he can develop our team and also pass on a lot of knowledge to the young players."
In 2005-06 and from 2010 until 2014, Glen Metropolit played in Switzerland. In 2006, he celebrated the Swiss Championship with HC Lugano. He returned to Switzerland in 2010 and played for EV Zug for two years before returning to Lugano. During the 2013-14 season, he also played nine games for SC Bern.
