As it was only implemented for one year, another round of talks was necessary for a renewal of the contract. With the splitting up of the TV rights, a new agreement had to be found regarding the distribution of the involved funds. The newly-negotiated deal involving financial support for the SIHF by the National League will be valid for the coming season.
For the season after that and maybe longer, the plan is to hold another round of talks in October of this year.
