With yesterday's loss in Game 7 of the quarterfinal versus HC Davos, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' season was over. After the game, Igor Jelovac had a chat with La Regione, where he revealed that he indeed will join Lausanne HC coming season.
"My move to Lausanne has not been made official, but by now it's an open secret that I will be playing for LHC from next season", the 27-year-old states. "I left home when I was 14 years old, I discovered new cultures, very nice people and new languages, those were all great experiences. In Lausanne I spent my youth, it is a special place for me. I longed to return close to home, to see more of my family, my loved ones."
Jelovac was with the Lakers for two seasons. Prior to that, he played for EHC Biel and HC Ambrì-Piotta.
