Thanks to a win over the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and SC Bern losing to Lausanne HC, HC Ambrì-Piotta has managed to secure a spot in the pre-playoffs on the last day of the regular season. They sit one point or 0.019 points per game ahead of the Bears. In the pre-playoff, the Biancoblù will face their "helping hand", Lausanne.

The other matchup of the pre-playoffs has the other Ticinese team, HC Lugano, go up against the other team from the shores of Lake Geneva, Genève-Servette HC.

Due to their victories in the last round, both HC Davos and EHC Biel have secured a direct playoff spot. For the quarter-final, the former will face the fourth-placed SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, while the latter is going to go up against the ZSC Lions.

At the top of the standings, with 100 points or 1.923 points per game, sits once again EV Zug. HC Fribourg-Gottéron came in second. Both of their opponents for the quarter-final are determined in the pre-playoffs.
