Due to the pandemic, HC Ambrì-Piotta is closing the financial year with a loss of CHF 393,230. The deficit would have been a lot bigger if they had not made use of the federal aid, their players and management had not decided to renounce a part of their salary, and their fans and sponsors had not decided to not be reimbursed.

Still, HC Ambrì-Piotta will be impacted by the loan they received from the government, as they will have to keep a tight budget in regard to the salaries of the players in the next five years and, of course, have to pay back the CHF 5 million they received.

In an extraordinary assembly immediately after the general assembly, the shareholders also agreed to a capital increase. The Board of Directors is now allowed to increase HC Ambrì-Piotta's share capital by a maximum of CHF 2,356,250 by issuing new shares within the next two years.
