As Grégory Beaud (Blick), citing sources from Sweden, reports, Rikard Grönborg seems to be in advanced talks with Avangard Omsk regarding the 2022-23 season. If they were to reach an agreement, the Swede would then activate the out clause in his contract with the ZSC Lions. He would, however, have to do so by December 31.
In late October, there had already been rumors that Grönborg and Omsk might be in talks. At the time, Alexander Krylov, chairman of the club's board of directors, denied any interest in the Swedish coach. That was, however, regarding the 2021-22 season.
