Gottéron's management may decide to allow entry to their arena only to vaccinated people or fans who have recovered from Covid-19.

Following today's decision of the Federal Council, the clubs have two options regarding the regulation of who can attend the games. The first would be to stick with the current strategy but with the requirement to wear a mask and consume at the seat.

The other option, favored by HC Fribourg-Gottéron's president Hubert Waeber, would be a 2G strategy that would exclude the non-vaccinated people from entering the stadium. In that case, no masks would be required.

"Personally, I'm in favor of a 2G regulation," says Waeber to the Freiburger Nachrichten. "Why punish everyone again now? The people on the standing ramp, for example, would no longer be allowed to consume at all, because they would have to consume while sitting down."

So that a decision between the two envisioned approaches can be made in the best way possible, the club is asking fans at the BCF Arena entrance tonight if they have been tested before the game. This way they would find out how many fans they might have to do without in the near future if they were to switch to 2G and thus weigh its pros and cons.
