Following the emergence of rumors according to which Elia Riva had at first refused the renewal offer from his current club, HC Lugano and Elia Riva have finally agreed on a two-year extension.
Riva made his National League debut with Lugano back in the 2016-17 season and since then has suited up in 210 games for the Bianconeri, recording nine goals and 23 assists. During the international break in November, Riva participated in the Deutschland Cup with the Swiss national team.
