Petr Svoboda, Lausanne HC's Director of Hockey Operations, recently stated that Damien Riat will not be eligible to play in their first game against EHC Biel on Friday. This assumption, however, has not been accurate. "We received confirmation from the league," head coach John Fust says to 24 heures. "He can play."
Not so, however, Canadian defenseman Mark Barberio. He is suspended for four more games. Moreover, forward Cody Almond is out for at least a month with an upper-body injury.
