The top scorer of the last regular season managed to win both main categories of the Swiss Ice Hockey Awards.

Jan Kovář was nominated with Sven Andrighetto (ZSC Lions) and Linus Omark (formerly Genève-Servette HC) for the award of the MVP of the Regular Season. The Czech led the league in points, recording 16 goals and 47 assists in 52 games.

As for the MVP of the Playoffs category, fellow EV Zug player Grégory Hoffmann as well as GSHC's Henrik Tömmernes also had a chance to win the award. Kovář also was the leading point-getter of the postseason, putting up one goal and 14 assists in 13 games.
