The defenseman has signed a three-year deal with his new team. He would still have had one year left on his old one with the Lions.

Earlier this month, a rumor arose that Robin Grossmann might leave Lausanne HC in direction of EHC Biel. It turned out to be true - the defenseman has signed a three-year deal with the Seelanders.

Grossmann had joined Lausanne in 2018 after four seasons with EV Zug. Prior to that, he used to be a member of EHC Kloten (his youth team) and HC Davos. While part of Kloten, the 33-year-old already made some games on loan for Biel when they were still a member of the Swiss League.

"Robin Grossmann is a complete defenseman, versatile, and an excellent skater. With his hockey-technical qualities and experience, Robin will be an important asset for our team," team manager Martin Steinegger states.
