After one season in the KHL, the 32-year-old has decided to return to the Emmental, where he has signed a two-year contract.

Harri Pesonen is well-known in Switzerland, where he has already played from 2014 to 2020. First for Lausanne HC, then for the SCL Tigers. "We are happy that we succeeded in bringing back Harri Pesonen and thus send a signal to the fans and also the team," team manager Marc Eichmann says.

This past season, Harri Pesonen suited up for Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Ak Bars Kazan in the KHL. In a total of 60 games, he scored eight goals and added 15 assists. Pesonen is the Tigers' third new import-player for the upcoming season besides forwards Alexandre Grenier ((CAN)) and Jesper Olofsson ((SWE)).

Moreover, the SCL Tigers also announce that Dean Fedorchuk is going to join the coaching team around head coach Jason O'Leary. The 50-year-old Canadian worked for HC Fribourg-Gottéron in the past four seasons, first as assistant coach and then as their head scout.
