Both Matteo Romanenghi (Lugano) and Martin Ness (SCRJ) did not get new contracts with their teams. They will both play for the same one the coming two years, HC Ajoie.

Ness, 28, has played in Switzerland for most of his career, besides a short stint with the Krefelder Pinguine a few years ago. He has made 265 National League and 156 Swiss League games for various teams. During the 2015-16 season, he had a short stint with his new employer.

Romanenghi, 26, was part of HC Lugano from his latter junior years until the end of this season. He was already reported to possibly be joining Ajoie in May by RSI's Omar Gargantini. During his time with Lugano, the forward made 274 games in the National League.
