The Berner Zeitung already reported two weeks ago that Andrew Ebbett is one of the candidates for the succession of Florence Schelling. The other two remaining candidates on SCB's list were Pascal Müller and Thomas Rüfenacht.

Over the course of one season, Raffainer will support Ebbett in his new role. As SCB states in their press release, they "consciously decided to bring in someone who is familiar with SCB's philosophy and introduce him to the tasks of team manager."

After five seasons in Bern, Andrew Ebbett had to look for a new home in the 2020-21 season. This season, he suited up for EHC Red Bull München, recording three goals and one assist in 18 games. München announced at the end of April that Ebbett would not return to them.
