EV Zug will likely be able to play with five import-players next season. The composition of the quintet has yet to be defined, though.

EV Zug is looking for new import players.

"We are definitely looking for a defenseman and a centerman," team manager Reto Kläy tells Zentralplus. As of today, EV Zug has only one of their import player spots filled (Jan Kovar: contract until the end of the 2022-23 season).

Kläy was not willing to disclose more about his plans, but rumor has it that he is looking for not only one but two defensemen. Also, HCD's Magnus Nygren is definitely no longer an option for the Bulls: "The candidates we are in contact with are not playing in Switzerland."

Whether Carl Klingberg, Erik Thorell, or Nick Shore do have chances to stay thus remains to be seen. The latter would at least fit the profile, given that Kläy is looking for a center.
