According to information from the Tribune de Genève, but yet unconfirmed, Jonathan Mercier has already extended with Genève-Servette HC. His current contract included an option for another year. The 35-year-old defenseman has only ever played for GSHC. He made his debut for them back in the 2003-04 season.
The future of forward Timothy Kast, 32, who played six of the past seven seasons with GSHC, is not yet known. Kast himself would like to stay: "I think I still have good things to contribute to this team, this club," he explains to the Tribune de Genève. "And I think I can also have an interesting role with the youngsters."
This season, Timothy Kast has recorded five points (one goal) in 22 games with GSHC so far. Jonathan Mercier, for his part, has appeared in 37 games and put up seven points (two goals).
