What changes will there be in Bern?

For the coaching position, the Berner Zeitung mentions Johan Lundskog. The current assistant for HC Davos has been of interest to SC Bern since last summer when they tried to sign him but did not manage to do so. Current head coach Mario Kogler's contract runs out at the end of the season.

In net, Philip Wüthrich will likely go into next season as the starting goalie. Whether Tomi Karhunen will still be around by then is yet to be determined. Bern seems to be interested in Genève-Servette HC's Daniel Manzato, as Blick already reported last week.

On defense, besides the expected departure of Yanik Burren to HC Ambrì-Piotta, Miro Zyrd also could be on the way out, possibly to the SCL Tigers. Beat Gerber, whose contract is up in spring, would like to continue his career with Bern, the club apparently would like him to stick around as well. Whether they will sign an import defenseman is yet to be decided. However, Blick mentioned some interest in Davos' Magnus Nygren.

On offense, Inti Pestoni is reportedly headed to HC Ambrì-Piotta and André Heim is set to leave the Bears as well. The futures of Kyen Sopa and Simon Sterchi are still unclear. A possible addition could be EV Zug's Yannick-Lennart Albrecht. The forward has also drawn interest from other teams.
