Andreï Bykov's contract with HC Fribourg-Gottéron is up at the end of this season. So far, he has not received any offer for an extension from the club. To La Liberté, the 32-year-old states that he would understand the situation. "It is complicated. I am staying patient". He also mentions that he would be happy in Fribourg and would like to stay.

On the club's side, Christian Dubé says that they would not know where they are going. "If you ask me if we'll continue with Andreï, I'll say, 'Probably yes,' but he's not alone," the team manager comments.

David Desharnais' contract is also up at the end of this season. "We had mini-discussions with Christian Dubé, but nothing concrete. It must be said that there are a lot of unknowns at the moment", the forward states. The 34-year-old would like to return to Fribourg. "If things are going in the right direction, I don't see why I wouldn't want to come back here. I love the city and playing for Gottéron," Desharnais states in regards to him talking about the possibility of retiring on an episode of the Drette su'l tape-podcast.
