Nick Shore, the younger brother of former ZSC Lions and EHC Kloten forward Drew Shore, already arrived in Zug this past weekend and has entered the mandatory quarantine period.
"With the departure of McLeod and the injury of Calvin Thürkauf, we had to look for a replacement on the centre position," team manager Reto Kläy explains. "With Nick Shore we were able to find a suitable candidate." EV Zug writes that Shore will not weigh on their budget due to the current absences.
Most recently, Nick Shore has played for the Slovakian club Dukla Trencin, for which he appeared in five games and put up ten points (four goals). He did not receive a new contract from the Winnipeg Jets, for which he played the bigger part of the past season (46 games, one goal, one assist).
Over the course of his career, Nick Shore appeared a total of 304 NHL games for Los Angeles, Ottawa, Calgary, Toronto, and Winnipeg. He recorded a total of 59 points (18 goals).
