"We as a club are against it, and I am also against it as a coach," Luca Cereda states in an interview with the news agency Keystone-SDA. "I think we would lose our identity in all the clubs and in our hockey. And you would destroy the dream of many young players."

«It's almost a question of existence that we have this identity»

Especially for a club such as HC Ambrì-Piotta, identity is key, Luca Cereda believes: "For us in Ambrì, it's almost a question of existence that we have this identity with young people from Ticino."

Nevertheless, he admits that salaries in Switzerland are probably too high right now: "The idea that we have to make our hockey better, especially economically, is certainly right, because there are too many hockey clubs in need," Cereda explains. "But I think the solution with ten import-players is bad and I have no problem saying that."
