"For now and until further notice, he stays with us," Svoboda tells Jérôme Reynard (24 heures). Svoboda, however, also explains that the Toronto Maple Leafs would be required to send Malgin through waivers if they wanted to extend his loan with Lausanne HC. During that process, the young forward could be picked up by another NHL team.

Malgin's future will only be decided when the NHL's plans are set. "We'll know more once the date for the NHL's return has been set and the process has been set in motion," Petr Svoboda explains. The Maple Leafs commented to 24 heures that they will take a decision on Malgin when planning their preparation camp."
