Over the course of his career, Julien Sprunger has now recorded a total of 652 points for HC Fribourg-Gottéron - one more than club legend Slava Bykov. Until last night, the former Russian superstar had been the club's point leader for more than 20 years.
In an interview with MySports, Sprunger said that he is proud of the accomplishment, but "this was not my goal". The 35-year-old does not intend to stop now: "I want to score more points, more goals and I always have so much fun on the ice - I hope that I can continue for two or three more years."
For his whole career, Julien Sprunger has only suited up for HC Fribourg-Gottéron. With the dragon on the front of his shirt, he has appeared in 850 games, in which he put up a total of 652 points (327 goals).
