The 26-year-old goaltender has signed a one-year extension with the SCL Tigers and is set make his comeback from injury tonight.

Ivars Punnenovs will guard Langnau's net for one more year.

Ivars Punnenovs has been a Tiger since 2015 and he will remain one at least until 2022. "This contract extension is enormously valuable in sporting terms," team manager Marc Eichmann says. "It is also an important sign internally that we want to live up to our ambitions."

The Latvian who is in possession of a Swiss player's license has been sidelined with an adductor injury recently. He is, however, set to make his comeback in tonight's home game against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.
