Swisshockeynews.ch

SC Bern has announced their new head coach - Don Nachbaur. He was signed to a two-year deal. The 61-year-old started his coaching career in 1994 as head of the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds. Since then, he has mainly been with WHL-teams, but also spent some seasons in the AHL as both assistant and head coach. From 2017 until fall 2018, Nachbaur was part of the Los Angeles Kings' coaching staff. Last year, he was employed by HKM Zvolen (Slovakian Tipsport Liga).

As he states in a video-interview, Nachbaur has always loved working with young players, but also does not mind more mature ones. "I am very comfortable with both the young players and the veteran players. I think our team will be a huge mix of both those types of players in Bern."
