For David Ullström to remain in Biel, the financial situation of the club is paramount, but: "If we'll be able to start the season with four import-players, he's a top candidate," team manager Martin Steinegger tells the Bieler Tagblatt.
So far, however, Biel has only two imports on their roster and their third - if there is going to be a third - will be a defenseman. Petteri Lindbohm, who suited up for Lausanne HC last season, would be a perfect match: "He has all the qualities that we are looking for," Steinegger says to the same source.
A return of Anssi Salmela or Otso Rantakari seems unlikely. Whereas Rantakari does not match the profile EHC Biel is looking for, Salmela has to make up his mind about the future. According to Steinegger, "he doesn't know exactly what he wants yet."
