The 42-year-old Canadian last coached in the QMJHL.

According to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), Gordie Dwyer is one of several candidates for SC Bern's vacant coaching position. Marc Lüthi told the same source a week ago that they hire a new coach by the end of June.

If he were chosen, it would not be the first time, the Canadian would coach in Switzerland. He replaced Hans Kossmann as head coach of HC Ambrì-Piotta in the 2016-17 season. From 2017 to November 2018, he coached Dinamo Minsk (KHL) and then replaced Daniel Renaud in February 2020 as head coach of the Shawinigan Cataractes.
