Although SCB has never confirmed Sopa's return, they list him in their club magazine as one of the additions for next season.

With Kyen Sopa, SC Bern is getting younger.

As one can read in SC Bern's club magazine "Spirit", their roster for next season is more or less fixed. As of today, ten players are no longer part of the organization, nine players take on their work with SCB, including 19-year-old forward Kyen Sopa. Still open are the spots of a fourth or fifth import-player.

Sopa left Bern in 2018 at the age of 17 in direction of North America, where he played for the OHL's Niagara IceDogs and, most recently, the Erie Otters. He appeared in 115 OHL games, in which he recorded 77 points (38 goals).

With their eight additions (nine if you include goalie Philipp Wüthrich, who played on loan for SC Langenthal) SC Bern is getting younger. Whereas the additions have an average age of 25, the ten departures are on average almost 32 years old.
