Philip-Michaël Devos, 30, and Jonathan Hazen, 29, both have an out-clause for the National League in their contracts and are allowed to leave HC Ajoie until the end of this month. Joining the SCL Tigers, however, seems to be out of the question for the two Canadians.

As the Berner Zeitung writes, the SCL Tigers refrain from signing the duo. The reasons: Firstly, the financial uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic and, secondly, because they apparently are not convinced that Devos and Hazen would be able to play a convincing role in the National League.

This past season, the duo led the Swiss League in points. Philip-Michäel Devos recorded 98 points (30 goals) in 44 games with HC Ajoie (2.23 points per game). His fellow Canadian Jonathan Hazen put up 83 points (39 goals, 2.18 points per game).
