National League

The 25-year-old forward has been offered to Swiss teams, Sport-Center reports, and apparently there is interest in the AHL All-Star.

The National League might soon welcome Charles Hudon.

After three seasons in the organization of the Montréal Canadiens, Charles Hudon's contract is running out. As he received less and less chances to prove himself on the NHL-level over these years, he seems to see his future rather in Europe than in North America.

An unnamed team manager from the National League tells Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center) that there is interest in the Canadian forward: "In Switzerland, his explosiveness could do some damage," he says. "There are still some questions about his defensive abilities. But offensively, he would be among the best in the league."

Over the course of the current season, Hudon only appeared in 15 games for the Canadiens (one goal, one assist). For their AHL-affiliate, the Laval Rocket, however, he suited up 46 times and recorded 35 points (27 goals). He was nominated for this season's AHL All-Star game.
