Due to a lack of commitment, the termination of the Canadian forward's contract has an immediate effect.

Chris DiDomenico is not a Tiger anymore.

In their press release, the SCL Tigers state that they expect full concentration and commitment from their players for the post-season. Recently, however, "[Chris] DiDomenico increasingly signaled a different attitude." For this reason, the management decided to prematurely terminate DiDomenico's contract, which was valid until the end of the season. For the next season, the 31-year-old already has a two-year deal in place with HC Fribourg-Gottéron.

"The decision to terminate the agreement with immediate effect was not easy - but after an internal analysis we see no other solution than to take this step," says team manager Marco Bayer and adds "now everyone has to pull together."

Moreover, the Tigers also announced the signing of youngsters Joel Salzgeber and Keijo Weibel for respectively three and two seasons. The two 19-year-old forwards both spent the majority of the current season on loan with EHC Olten. "Both forwards have made good progress in the Swiss League and therefore receive entry contracts with the Tigers," Bayer declares.

Salzgeber recorded five points in 32 games with the Mice, while Weibel collected nine points in 48 games. Salzgeber also took part in the World Juniors, putting up two points.
